THE BAPTISMAL IS FINISHED. THE SUN IS POWERING OUR LIGHTS. AND GOD KEEPS FILLING THIS PLACE WITH PEOPLE.
We keep asking, “Lord, did all of this really happen in one month?” 🙌
Familia, June left us breathless. The baptismal we have prayed over, poured concrete for, and dreamed about is finished. Solar panels are installed and producing power from the sun God gives us every morning. Three free medical events brought healing hands to hundreds of our neighbors — and more than 50 people gave their lives to Jesus. And on Thursday, June 11th, our Comedor — our feeding kitchen — served 605 meals in a single day.
None of this was us. Every bit of it was God moving through you — your prayers, your giving, your hands showing up to serve. This month we simply want to show you what your faithfulness built.
🙏 The baptismal and pastoral stage are complete
The stairs are done. The stucco is smooth. The pool that will welcome new believers into the family of God is finished and waiting for its first baptism. Only a few final touches remain — doors for the storage area and one special finishing detail we can't wait to show you.
Soon, people from Caribe Bajo will publicly declare their faith in Jesus in water that you helped pour. Let that sink in.

☀️ Solar power is flowing!
As extreme heat settled over Baja this summer, God provided in perfect timing. Our solar panels and batteries are installed and producing power from the sunshine He pours out freely every day. We're still working out some final kinks in the system, but here is what we're most thankful for: we now have battery backup — so if and when the power goes out, the fans keep turning, the refrigerators keep food safe, and the lights stay on over every meal in the feeding kitchen. Thank you to everyone who gave to make this possible. Your gift keeps giving with every sunrise.
🩺 Three events — and more than 50 new believers!
Our visiting chiropractic and vision team poured themselves out across three free community health events this month. Day one: 114 people served, 86 chiropractic adjustments, 93 pairs of reading or distance glasses. Day two: 190 registered attendees, 149 adjustments, 114 pairs of glasses. Day three: 98 people checked in, 77 adjustments, 56 pairs of glasses. Grandmothers who hadn't seen clearly in years. Workers whose backs carry this community every day. Each one prayed over, each one loved.
But the numbers we will carry with us forever are these: through these three events, more than 50 people came to believe in Jesus. Straightened backs and clear vision are wonderful — souls stepping into eternity with Christ is everything.
🎉 Full carts in June — celebrating family graduations!
This is what the finish line of faithfulness looks like: sponsorship families graduating — parents working, children thriving, carts full of groceries they shopped for with dignity. When sponsorship begins, we see more than help. We see families stepping into the future God has for them. To every sponsor reading this: these full carts are your love, made visible.
📖 Almost 100 children and their mamas, every week
Every Saturday, our center fills with the sound we love most: kids learning about Jesus. Nearly 100 children and around 30 mothers gather each week to worship, learn, laugh, and eat together. The joy in that room is absolutely contagious — and it's growing.
📱 New this month: Donation Connect is live
We've been building something behind the scenes, and in mid-June we launched it: a HUGE overhaul of Donation Connect, the platform that links you directly to a specific family's specific need — a food bundle, baby formula, diapers, a mattress. Now you can “shop” requests, add multiple families to your basket, fulfill them all at once, and track every donation you make from gift to delivery. Since launch:
Every one of those 130 waiting requests is real and verified — a real mother, a real family, real people praying and waiting for their prayers to be answered. A despensa is $50. Diapers are $25. One of those answered prayers could be yours today.
🤝 Our Volunteer Hub is growing too
Twenty-three new volunteers signed up in June alone, and couples and whole families booked cooking, cleaning, and serving shifts in the feeding kitchen all month. Every week, people leave the comfort of home and cross borders — not for a vacation, but to serve. To every volunteer: thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing HIS love with everyone you serve. This ministry moves because you do.

🎁 Gifts you can hold
Not every gift is a dollar amount — and this month reminded us how much a physical gift can restore dignity. Nelly and her team brought 100 brand-new sweaters to our community center, and as Matthew 25 says, clothing the stranger is clothing Jesus Himself. Our friends at El Huerto showed up with chicken wings, roast pork, and more — true partnership that let us feed and celebrate with our community with dignity. And Penny Spade and Monica donated beds, mattresses, pillows, and essential supplies so families who had been sleeping on the ground now have a safe place to rest.
Even our newest platform is seeing this kind of generosity: a local donor recently gave a bed and base directly through Donation Connect, matched to a mother with a registered request — and today, her family sleeps on a real bed. 🚙 Meet the newest member of the LCMFC family
Through the generosity of Jeffrey Raymond, and the gracious hands of Penny Spade and Cliff who made the connection, a well-cared-for 2001 Chevy Tahoe — 4x4, 136,000 miles, shipped all the way from Canada — has joined our ministry. When the roads wash out and the paths disappear in Caribe Bajo, the work can't stop. This Tahoe means it won't have to.

💛 Over 25 new donors. Over $1,000 for the feeding program.
God did something beautiful this month that we have to celebrate: more than 25 brand-new donors gave for the very first time in June, together raising over $1,000 toward our monthly feeding program. Every one of those gifts becomes hot plates, full bellies, and open doors for the Gospel.
A special, heartfelt thank-you to Katy and her fiancé Nate, from Las Vegas, whose story on Instagram moved so many hearts to give. You two didn't just share a post — you set a table for hundreds.
Our prayer now: that some of these one-time gifts grow into monthly partnerships. If you gave for the first time this month — welcome to the familia. We'd love for you to stay.

🍲 Keep the feeding kitchen cooking
Here is a number that should stop you in your tracks: each hot meal from our Comedor — our feeding kitchen — costs just 50 cents to provide. That means a monthly gift of $25 serves 50 meals. $50 serves 100 meals. $100 serves 200 meals — every single month, to real neighbors in Caribe Bajo, with the love of Jesus on every plate. On June 11th we served 605 meals in one day. Monthly partners are what make days like that possible.
🙏 Thank You, Father — our ultimate Provider
Before we close, we need to say what matters most. None of this — not the baptismal, not the solar panels, not 605 meals, not a single soul who came to Jesus — came from us. Every meal served, every back healed, every family blessed, every volunteer who showed up, every dollar given: it all flows from the hand of God, our ultimate Provider.
Thank You, Lord, for Your guidance when we didn't know the way. Thank You for Your strength when we were empty. Thank You for Your love, poured out on Caribe Bajo through every person reading this. All praise, all thanks, and all glory belong to You alone. 🙌
